Fans of the smash hit show of summer 2018 Cells at Work! showed up in full force to Otakon 2018 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.  The convention, which happened only a few weeks after the series premiere, proved the series’ strong fan base in the U.S., with my friends cosplaying characters from the series as a group.

Otakorp Inc., the organizers for the convention, describe Otakon as “an annual convention held in the summer months to celebrate Asian pop culture (anime, manga, music, movies, video games, etc.) and its fandom.” The convention ran from August 10th through the 12th in the U.S. capitol, Washington D.C.
