Aniplex of America hosted the US premiere of Cells at Work! at Anime Expo 2018 featuring special guests Tomoaki Maeno, the voice actor of White Blood Cell (Neutorphil), and producers Yohei Ito, Nobutaka Kasama and Yuma Takahashi. The screening was filled to capacity with fans excited to see the first episode of the show before anyone else. In addition to answering questions regarding the show, Mr. Maeno performed a live reading as his character, White Blood Cell (Neutrophil) from the first episode. Aniplex of America also hosted a special talk show at the Aniplex booth a day before the panel where Producer Takashi shared that he hoped the anime “would help make the world healthier.” Attendees lucky enough to snag a ticket were also treated to a special autograph session with Mr. Maeno following the special panel and screening.
